An Invitation

Loss is part of the human experience.   While the experiences will be unique and personal, what exists is deeper human connection in our stories.  For me, it was the loss of people and the trauma that re-connected me with a part of myself the felt true and real.  It gave me hope and a peek into a place that is much more meaningful than where we spend most of our time in just wandering.

I recognize as humans our creativity and curiosity has endless potential.  For me, the relationship of loss, and trauma, opened up a connection that was so beautiful, fulfilling, and mysterious, I decided that it was worth revealing and exploring what else.

While I have lost, and continue to explore these depths of loss, I am hopeful of what I continue to be aware of and find.  I am curious and wonder what life experiences have opened up in your heart and soul and perhaps where you see or find something new.

I feel that there is not enough sharing in these moments that bring us closer to ourselves, each other, and the vast beauty in the life that exists that we don’t typically see.

Perhaps life’s journey is figuring out how we find and live our best selves and co-create a more loving existence, not just one of survival.

The meaning of loss is “the state or feeling of grief when deprived of someone or something of value.”  While loss can be many things for people, for me, my stories are focused more on the losing of someone. Regardless of the what or the who, loss can be a hopeless, unfamiliar, and dark place.  My hope is that in my stories and experiences, others may feel less alone in theirs.  That we can build a larger community of connection, and understanding; that while the human experience can be hard and unforgiving, there is something more to be discovered and found.

As this is a constant journey, we need to help one another see what else exists in and beyond the moonlight.

YOUR INVITATION:
I am on a journey and inviting you to come along. You may decide to stop or stay but I am grateful you are here, either way.  The path may be somewhat familiar, or may see something new. It may bring out all your unique colors, your big heart and fast fears too. You may see things beyond the stars, moon and sun – a place that is calling your name and is never quite done.  Maybe, you will shine a brighter light on its wonder and call it to stay, have it come sit for a while and ask it to play.  Maybe it starts to grow and seeps deep into your bones, your soul, and takes you somewhere you forgot existed, and you follow it wherever it goes…
